RUHU Trip Day Seven!

DAY SEVEN WAS OFFICE AND RUHU GRADUATE DAY!

Day seven of our trip was a long and significant workday. I, Laura, spent most of the day with the head accountant, Reuben, at the RUHU office verifying Term 1 school accountabilities. We worked through a lot of numbers together!

Meanwhile, Mackenzie spent the morning teaching English for the last time to the Bwaise boys, and in the afternoon, she helped with the nursery classes at the RUHU Primary School.

In the evening, we dedicated our time to the RUHU students who have recently graduated or will graduate this year. We invited them to the volunteer house to have intentional conversations with them about their experiences as they enter the real world. We spent almost 5 hours talking to these young men and women both as a group and in one-on-one discussions. Our goal was to better understand their realities and situations so that we could identify ways for RUHU and Beautiful Response to support them better. It’s essential to provide the necessary support for our graduates to be successful. We want to ensure that their educational opportunities and hard work lead to successful job opportunities. Please keep RUHU and Beautiful Response in your prayers as we begin this new chapter. Pray for wisdom, clarity, and financial provision. Thank you!
