RUHU PRIMARY SCHOOL

“I thank you for the opportunity and trust given to me in spearheading the leadership, managerial, and administrative skills at RUHU Primary School. With that, therefore, I take this opportunity to inform you that our school has made a remarkable achievement this month by winning the 2025 WAPPSA BBIRA SUB-ZONE-U-14 football championship for boys, among other achievements. Sports are part of our education, and this time round it was ball games competitions. We had four teams for football and netball. We had girls’ netball under 12, girls’ netball under 14, boys’ football under 12, and boys’ football under 14. Girls under 12 finished in quarter finals in the 6th position, girls under 14 finished in semi-finals in 3rd position, boys under 12 finished in the 6th position, and finally, boys under 14 were in the first position out of the sixteen schools we were competing with. We were given a trophy and a certificate of participation. We congratulate them and appreciate the sports committee and the entire staff of RUHU Primary for that achievement.
This term, the Primary school is electing new prefects. The Chairman Electoral Commission and his team are working tirelessly to see to it that the process goes on successfully. The committee has taken it upon itself to encourage and motivate learners to participate in leadership, and they have acted positively by taking on various roles. The election process is now complete, and voting has happened. The swearing-in ceremony was on 25th July, where the outgoing prefects handed over to the new ones, who swore and started their responsibilities.
Social work check-up: This process was carried out by a team of social workers. They went into the classes and talked to them on different matters like self-awareness, self-esteem, confidence, and self-respect.
Health: On this note, we thank God for the good health he has provided to our children. This month, we have not had any serious cases of children falling sick, with only a few minor cases. Therefore, we thank God for the health of both staff and children.“
RUHU CAREER RELATIONS DEPARTMENT

“Studies
All students are progressing well with their study programs. Within the month, some have been having holidays while others have continued with their studies.
Nurses (O.M. and D.N.) at Mild May have had their holiday and are resuming in the last week of the month.
P.L. also had a short holiday of two (2) weeks and will resume studies on the 9th next month.
The rest of the students, i.e., A.B, D.M., and A.W., are continuing with their mid-term, while B.K. has just started his new semester in the third (3rd) week of the month.
L.D. is ready to take on the new level at Mild May Institute of Health Sciences at the beginning of next month. He’s excited and ready to embrace the opportunity.
A.B. went for a study tour for one day mid-month; this was intended to let students explore developed mechanical businesses and also to have a different view of mechanics.
Internship programs
We had students continuing with their internship programs, and we hope they will be completed as below;
D.K. – Within the first two weeks of August
V.M. – Early August
Y.L. – End August
S.B. – August
A.N. – 1st August
M.K. and H.K. completed their internship programs and are still working in their internship places as they wait to complete UBTEB/graduation, and also as they fight to see that they are retained for employment.
Clerkship
This is done by law students as their internship, and A.N. started the program on the 23rd at DAB Advocates – Kampala. We thank God for the opportunity, as we had searched for a placement from different law firms, and at the last hour, we got a connection, and he started. The clerkship will take two and a half months, expecting him to complete this in October, and then go back to Mbale to continue with the LDC program.
Vacists workshop
At the beginning of the month, we held a vacists workshop at Joggies Recreation Center in Bulaga based on the THEME: “What Next?”
We had these discussion sections:
– Soft skills training
– Counseling and guidance
– Job/work status and guidance about work ethics.
It was an interesting and interactive workshop where vacists got to share their opinions, acquire soft skills, and receive counseling and guidance. It was successful as the targets set for its occurrence were achieved.
Vacists meeting with the RUHU Vocational Administration
This was geared at creating awareness of the Vocational Program that will start in August. Vacists learned what the institute would offer and how they could fit in. The meeting was successful and the vacists were given copies of brochures which they could use to pick courses. Though turnout wasn’t as expected, some didn’t attend, making the attendance rate of 60%.
Students’ General Meeting
In the last week of the month, we conducted a general meeting for all continuing students at the Head Office. This aimed at:
– Hearing from students, having their issues addressed, and giving feedback
– Students’ performance analysis
– Mini-career guidance talk
The above was achieved; most of the students attended the meeting, and only 3 couldn’t make it due to tight programs at their institutions. Students didn’t have many serious issues pending, and basically, clarity on some key areas was given, including:
– Rent Payment dates
– Mid-Month budgets
– Communication on the platform
– Students’ Committee
The guidance talk was done by an external counselor and Lydia. They handled different sections of the work/employment start-up, revealing to students how they can embrace the work/job world.
Students’ performance analysis was done on an individual basis for students who had their results ready. This continues for those who will submit their results at a later time. This is done to ensure good performance and follow up on studies.”

“We express gratitude for the chance to serve through RUHU and for the impact it makes in the community. Every opportunity to serve is a privilege given by God, and acknowledging this uplifts the spirit and brings us closer to understanding the divine purpose behind our actions.
We acknowledge the support and wisdom received to lead RUHU. Leadership is a challenging responsibility that often requires divine strength and wisdom, and recognizing this helps foster humility and reliance on God. We are grateful for the leadership guidance of the Executive Director of Beautiful Response. Your leadership is shaking up the organization and improving it every day. The growth of the organization is partly because of your leadership.
We thank God for the positive results and positive change. Each success story is a testament to God’s favor and the efforts of the team. Celebrating these successes motivates everyone involved to continue striving for excellence.
We express gratitude to the dedicated individuals who work with us. The combined efforts, passion, and dedication of the team members are invaluable, and this strengthens the bond between us and enhances teamwork.
The medical outreaches once again kicked off. As I am writing this, over 1,000 patients have been treated for different diseases like malaria, typhoid, diabetes, and hypertension. So many lives have been healed for free. We thank GOD for the presence of Dr. Pamela and the team.
Finally, the second term of the school year is coming to an end, and this was a great testimony to see our kids attending school once again. We thank GOD for all sponsors of Beautiful Response and GDG (Australian donors). We thank God for the new partnership of GDG. This has allowed Australian donors to support our Secondary School, and we are grateful for the support.”
PRAYER – We ask for prayers for…
“We seek God’s favor for RUHU’s mission and goals to be achieved. A clear and focused mission aligns RUHU’s efforts with its vision, and divine favor propels these efforts toward success.
We pray for the programs to be impactful and to bring about lasting change. Effective programs are the backbone of RUHU, and asking for divine intervention ensures these programs meet the needs of the beneficiaries.
We pray and seek God’s provision for the RUHU’s financial needs.
We pray that God provides funds for the start of the RUHU Vocational Institute to enable senior six vacists to have a chance to acquire skills. Many of our kids who have graduated senior six are still at home without the hope of going to university or an institute.
We pray that funds for Term 3 be available so that kids will attend school without delay and with needed items. Thanks so much to Beautiful Response.
We pray for wisdom and unity for the team and leadership. A strong and united team can overcome any challenge, and divine wisdom helps in making the right decisions at the right time.
We pray for resilience and perseverance, and strength to overcome challenges and continue working towards RUHU’s vision. The journey of RUHU is fraught with obstacles, and resilience and perseverance are necessary to keep moving forward.
We pray for protection and seek divine protection for all involved in RUHU, including Donors, Sponsors, Partners, Friends, Beneficiaries, Staff, and Supporters. Safety and security are paramount, and divine protection ensures that everyone involved remains safe from harm.
We pray for divine wisdom and guidance and ask for God’s guidance on decisions and direction. Making the right choices is critical for the success of RUHU, and seeking divine wisdom ensures these choices align with the greater good.”
