It has been almost 3 years since we have been to visit our partners and friends in Haiti.
Our hearts long to go back, but the political situation continues to make travel unsafe in Port au Prince. Gangs control the roads in and out of the capital city. Not only does this impact the danger of travel, but it also increases the cost of supplies and food in the whole country.
On the other hand, life in the village of Neply remains safe and calm. Our students are able to continue their education, and for that we are so very grateful! The other amazing thing about our friends is their consistent faith in God. Whenever I talk with my friend TiCarme she reminds me that God is in control and will deliver them. I am humbled by her faith!
We are very excited that our partner, Pastor Antoine, is going to make a trip to the Midwest to share what God continues to do in Neply, and to update us on what is happening in the village and nation. If you are interested in meeting with him please let us know, and we will let you know his schedule and where he will be.
We encourage you to keep Haiti in your prayers and supported with your gifts. The needs are great!
