Next week Tuesday (11/30) is a day dedicated to giving, a day to celebrate and unleash generosity. People around the globe are inspired by the power that their generosity has in making a positive change in the lives of others.
On Giving Tuesday, you can make the choice to show your generosity to a non-profit that you believe makes a difference. Beautiful Response is fortunate to be partners with two such organizations.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 this year to empower and educate future Ugandan and Haitian leaders. We already have $8,500 committed in matching gifts. If our donors give $8,500, that’s a chance to raise a minimum of $17,000!
From Uganda to Haiti, Covid has shut borders and schools, national emergencies have been declared, and restrictions in the movement of people and goods enforced. What has been a health crisis in the short term will have more significant impacts on education, development, and human rights in the long term. Those especially feeling the weight of the past 2 years are the under-resourced and vulnerable youth. You can see this impact in the increased rate of school dropouts, child workers, loss of morale and motivation for school, increased prostitution, child marriages, child abuse, and crime.
Your investment in the lives and education of the kids served by Raising Up Hope for Uganda (RUHU) and Help the Youth (HTY) in Haiti provides the hope these kids need in a dark and uncertain time. RUHU and HTY are their path to education, a brighter future, self-sufficiency, and becoming future leaders in their communities.
