I’m heading back to RUHU with board member Alyssa! We apologize for the late notice, but the final decision for this trip depended on the status of the current Ebola outbreak in Uganda. After monitoring the situation closely, we are excited to share that, barring a significant uptick in cases in the Kampala area, we plan to return to RUHU in April.
We are eager to see the kids again this year—the best part of our trip is spending time with them!
As we prepare for our visit, we would love to bless the kids with much-needed items that fall outside our annual budget. Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to provide the boys’ home with new bunk beds, mattresses, blankets, sheets, and mosquito nets. This year, we want to do the same for the girls and young mothers at the girls’ home and House of Hope.
We aim to raise $9,000 to purchase: 30 bunk beds, 60 mattresses, 60 blankets, 60 bed sheets, 200 mosquito nets, and sofa sets for both homes.
Every child deserves a comfortable bed and a warm blanket to sleep with at night. These items are a tremendous blessing and significantly improve the quality of life for these children and young mothers, offering them the comfort and security they deserve.
The deadline for donations is April 10th so we can finalize our budget and send the funds before we arrive in Uganda. We understand this is a short timeframe, but we’re confident that our amazing RUHU supporters will rise to the challenge! Your generosity will make all of this possible.
In addition, we want to invite sponsors to write a letter to your sponsored child. Your letters bring so much joy to the kids and help them feel loved and supported. If you’d like to send a letter, please email it to me at laura@beautifulresponse.org or mail it to 386 S. Watertown St., Waupun, WI 53963 by April 13th.
Thank you for your continued support!
Laura
