Hi Everyone! One of the questions we get most frequently is, “what happens to the kids once they finish school?” It’s a good question.
But before you can answer it, you need to understand “school” in Uganda. Like in the United States, different students will “finish school” at different points.
This August, six of our kids are preparing to enter University! This is our first class of students who have graduated high school and are moving on to the next level of education. We are so proud of them!
But not all of the kids at RUHU will go on to university. Some are already in internships or at vocational schools. The education in Uganda is complex, but is the first part of understanding what happens to the kids as adults is understanding the pathways through the education system. So, in the video below, I do my best to explain that system.
